Project Engineer, Waikato

You won’t be pigeon holed in this role and you won’t be stuck behind a desk. You will take ownership of projects from concept to completion, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. You will work alongside a highly qualified, talented, dynamic and passionate team, ensuring all project objectives are met. Please note, this role is full-time and permanent. 

About the role

  • Build strong & open relationships with clients, sub-contractors & suppliers, ensuring future relationships
  • Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure that deadlines are met
  • Identify and manage project risks and issues
  • Ensure that all project deliverables meet the required quality standards
  • Communicate project status to stakeholders, including senior management, clients, and project team members
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project team members
  • Ensure that all project documentation is complete and up-to-date
  • Participate in project reviews and lessons learned sessions to identify areas for improvement

About you:

  • Be well versed in civil and mechanical construction and familiar with all site activities
  • Understand the A-Z of project delivery
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
  • Ideally a minimum of 3 years of experience in project engineering or a related role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with project management software and tools
  • The ability to travel and work effectively on sites away from the office
  • Passionate about delivering top notch service to clients while having fun along the way
